YOTTOY Productions

I recently received a YOTTOY Productions book and plush. Did you know that they are a woman-owned company that started in 1995? Growing up, Kate (the owner of YOTTOY) would see fancy toys in stores and dreamed of one day having her own toy business! She accomplished her dream. Now, YOTTOY has an impressive variety of books to choose from and you can also purchase a matching/accompanying toy to go with the book. The soft toys are high quality, cute, and a treasure to share.

I chose “No dejes que la Paloma conduzca el autobus” and the bus plush. YES! They have popular SPANISH books, too. So often these cute books and toys are only in English, but YOTTOY Productions does have SPANISH books available: Corduroy, El camioncito azul, and ¡No dejes que la Paloma conduzca el autobus! If you are looking for these books and a matching toy to add to your read alouds, I highly suggest visiting YOTTOY Productions. My own girls loved cuddling the bus as I read the book out loud to them! They are already deciding which book and toy plush we'll be purchasing to add to their collection :)

Do you want to win your choice of SPANISH book and plush? To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I have teamed up with YOTTOY to give one lucky winner a Spanish book and toy plush of their choice. Head on over to my Instagram @mmbilingual to enter this amazing giveaway!

Until next time friends! XO

En La Radio - Album Review

Hello everyone! After quite a break from blogging, I am here to share exciting news with you! Nathalia, my favorite bilingual songwriter and singer is releasing her newest album tomorrow, May 31st,  En La Radio. Nathalia’s music is magical, engaging, and I could listen to it all day long on repeat. Are you ready to check out her unique style and family friendly songs? Do you want to win her latest album to use with your students? Keep reading for more details.

Nathalia’s newest album En La Radio is authentic, family friendly, and educational.

Authentic – Nathalia’s style is unique and no one song is like the other. From Latin American rhythms, to dance, cumbia, rock, bluegrass, vallenato, and even acoustic. Each song is exposure for our children to different types of music and experiences.

Family friendly – I love that I can listen to this with my 4th grade students because of the catchy music, but I also LOVE that my 3-year-old toddler also enjoys it. Nathalia’s music is upbeat and can put you to dance in your chair, in the car, in the kitchen while cooking, pretty much anywhere.

Educational – Did you know Nathalia has FREE lesson plans that correlate to her songs? See available ones HERE. Her newest album, En la Radio, is great for using in the classroom. You can analyze Sounds of the Seasons and learn about the seasons in English and Spanish. In LEGO Let’s Go, she encourages children to use their imagination and creativity.

My personal favorite is La Rutina. Nathalia dedicates this song to all students and teachers reminding us that even in our day to day routine, each day brings new opportunities!

La rutina al empezar el día, dice con alegría que ay otra oportunidad

The routine reminds you every morning with a smile
You’ve got another day full of opportunities

My 2nd favorite is Amor, Amor. This song hits home and reminds me of conversations with my little one. This song is adorable and puts a smile on my face!

Aunque todo cambie al pasar los años
Si me necesitas estaré junto a ti, junto a ti
Love, love, amor, amor, amor

Now on to our giveaway! Nathalia has very graciously offered to give away a copy of her newest album to one of my followers. Head on to Instagram and look for my post on how to enter to win.

On her website, nathaliamusic.com you will find her bio, calendar of events, lesson plans, and information on how to book her for an event. Until next time friends!
